Matty Kerr

Matty serves as the business development specialist for the Brookings EDC team. Kerr holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Entrepreneurial Studies from South Dakota State University and Master of Business Administration through Dakota Wesleyan University.

Matty previously worked for her alma mater for over five years as the Program Advisor for University Traditions. That role brought a variety of experiences from volunteer management and budgeting to leadership development, coaching and mentoring collegiate students, and alumni engagement and fundraising. 
Prior to working for SDSU, Kerr worked at the SDSU Foundation as a talent management coordinator, overseeing hiring processes, benefits administration, and special projects. Outside of work Matty currently serves on several nonprofit boards, is involved in the operation of her family’s farm, and volunteers with a few organizations benefiting youth leadership development and children’s healthcare.
