With nearly 92% of Brookings city residents 25 years old and older holding a high school diploma or more, and 45% of city residents over age 25 holding a Bachelor's degree or higher, education is truly a top priority in Brookings.

Approximately 3,000 students are enrolled in the  Brookings School District, which includes:

•  Medary Elementary School
•  Camelot Intermediate School                
•  Mickelson Middle School
•  Brookings High School
